postheadericon Optimizing Window XP

There are many ways you can do to optimize your computer machines, by tweaking, adding software "Maid", the latest hardware upgrades, even with overclocking if it takes a computer's performance is more than optimal!

Here, I will only discuss the general things, not in detail the things that must be considered in order to maintain optimality machine with OS Windows XP computers in particular.

1. Disable the File Indexing
This indexingLayanan file indexing files obtained from the info on your hard drive and create a keyword index which will be "searchable."
If you're not using XP search feature often used to search for documents, you can disable these features, you will see a slight increase in the time it takes for your computer to find the file.
How: From My Computer> right-click on Drive C: \ (assuming that you save the file system in partition C:)> select Properties. Uncheck "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching." Save the changes with the Apply Changes to "C: sub folders and files," and click OK. 2. Clean Up Prefetch, temp, and cache files
clean up your hard drive Windows saves a lot of temporary files that can safely be cleaned once a month or more. It's also good to be done before running a virus scan or spyware scan, such as cleaning a lot of things from your system that need to be scanned.
How to: Download CCleaner
(Many of the recommendations that cleaning Prefetch is unimportant. Remember this, Cleanup Software! Or cleaning software is a program that is very useful) 3. Adding RAM
install ram If you run a computer with 128MB or 256MB of RAM, add more or upgrade your RAM because it includes low-cost, for example Upgrade to 512MB or 1GB. So Much RAM is available in the market with affordable prices. These are just suggestions though have to spend extra costs, but if you do, one of the best advantages of this is to improve the performance and performance. 4. Deletes programs or files that are rarely used
remove unused programs Having old games or other software that you seldom use anymore can take up less space on your hard drive, which can cause a decrease in the overall performance of your PC.
How to: Removing old programs is easy. In Control Panel, click on the icon "Add or Remove Programs". You can safely remove programs like gaming, demos, and other software that is no longer used. If you're unsure, do not remove it first. You can do a search on the internet to find out more about any mystery programs installed on your PC to decide to delete it or not.
Remember: MP3 music and video files you download may take up less space. Do check your media files once a month or more and delete files you no longer use. 5. Disable Windows Animations and Visual Effects
remove Animations and visual effects Fancy sliding, fading and animated effects are used by default windows easily turned off, it will create a reaction time of simple tasks like opening and moving windows, taskbars, etc ... faster.
How to: From the Control Panel, click on the icon "System". Click the Advanced tab. Click "Settings" button under "Performances." Uncheck the options related to animations, and other visual effects that are not needed. 6th. Removing Unused Fonts
remove fonts Having too many fonts can slow the rapid start-up programs. Some people say do not have more than 500 fonts installed on WinXP, but I personally try to keep the number of fonts below 200. The more fonts you have little faster loading of programs would you use (software, graphics programs, etc..).
How to: From the Control Panel, click on the icon "Fonts." You can delete the fonts that are not used here.
Remember: That is not necessary to delete: Verdana, Arial, Times, Trebuchet, Courier, serif, sans-serif, Georgia, etc ... depends also with a font that relate to your business. 7. Clean System from Viruses, Spyware and Malware
remove viruses Chances are you have some kind of virus, spyware or malware on your computer.
How to: Get protection Adware, spyware and firewall and antivirus programs. Like Kaspersky, Avira, Comodo, McAffee, or other local AV (SmadAV, PCMAV, ANSAV, etc.)
Remember: Keep your anti-virus programs up-to-date. Some anti-virus / anti-spyware software actually have spyware. So, Be careful.
