There are many ways you can do to optimize your computer machines, by tweaking, adding software "Maid", the latest hardware upgrades, even with overclocking if it takes a computer's performance is more than optimal!

Optimalkan OS Window XP Anda

Ada banyak cara yang dapat dilakukan untuk mengoptimalkan mesin komputer kita, dengan cara tweaking, menambahkan software "Pembantu", upgrade hardware terbaru, bahkan dengan melakukan overclocking jika membutuhkan performa komputer yang lebih dari optimal!!
Disini, saya hanya akan membahas hal yang umum saja, tidak secara mendetail hal yang yang harus diperhatikan demi menjaga optimalitas (bener gak ya??:D) mesin komputer dengan OS windows XP khususnya.
Layanan ini mengindeks file yang didapat dari info pada hard drive dan membuat indeks kata kunci yang akan "dicari."
Uncheck "Allow Indexing Service to index this disk for fast file searching." Simpan perubahan dengan Apply Changes to "C: sub folders and files," dan klik OK.
Windows menyimpan banyak file-file temporary yang dapat dengan aman dibersihkan sebulan sekali atau lebih. Ini juga baik untuk dilakukan sebelum menjalankan virus scan atau spyware scan, seperti membersihkan banyak hal dari sistem Anda yang perlu dipindai.

How to : Menghapus program lama sangat mudah. Dari Control Panel klik pada ikon "Add or Remove Programs". Anda bisa dengan aman menghapus program-program seperti game, demo, dan perangkat lunak lain yang tidak lagi digunakan. Jika Anda tidak yakin, jangan menghapusnya dulu. Anda dapat melakukan pencarian di internet untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut tentang program misteri apapun yang diinstal pada PC Anda untuk memutuskan untuk menghapusnya atau tidak.
Ingat:File musik MP3 dan video yang Anda download dapat mengambil banyak ruang. Lakukan Check file media Anda sebulan sekali atau lebih dan hapus file yang tidak lagi Anda gunakan.

Jika Anda menjalankan komputer dengan RAM 128MB atau 256MB, Tambahlah atau upgrade RAM Anda karena sudah termasuk murah, misalnya Upgrade ke 512MB atau 1GB. Banyak Sekali RAM yang tersedia di pasaran dengan harga terjangkau. Ini adalah saran saja walaupun harus mengeluarkan tambahan biaya, tetapi jika Anda melakukannya, salah satu keuntungan yang terbaik dari hal itu adalah meningkatkan kinerja dan performa.
4. Menghapus Program atau file yang jarang digunakan
Mempunyai games lawas atau perangkat lunak lain yang jarang Anda gunakan lagi dapat mengambil banyak ruang pada hard drive Anda, yang dapat menyebabkan penurunan kinerja keseluruhan PC Anda.
How to : Menghapus program lama sangat mudah. Dari Control Panel klik pada ikon "Add or Remove Programs". Anda bisa dengan aman menghapus program-program seperti game, demo, dan perangkat lunak lain yang tidak lagi digunakan. Jika Anda tidak yakin, jangan menghapusnya dulu. Anda dapat melakukan pencarian di internet untuk mengetahui lebih lanjut tentang program misteri apapun yang diinstal pada PC Anda untuk memutuskan untuk menghapusnya atau tidak.
Ingat:File musik MP3 dan video yang Anda download dapat mengambil banyak ruang. Lakukan Check file media Anda sebulan sekali atau lebih dan hapus file yang tidak lagi Anda gunakan.
5. Nonaktifkan Windows Animations dan Visual Effects

6. Menghapus Fonts yang tak digunakan
Mempunyai font terlalu banyak dapat memperlambat cepat program start up. Beberapa orang mengatakan tidak memiliki lebih dari 500 font yang terinstal di WinXP, tapi saya pribadi mencoba untuk menjaga jumlah font di bawah 200. Semakin sedikit fonts yang Anda miliki lebih cepat pemuatan program yang akan Anda gunakan (perangkat lunak, program grafis, dll.).
How to : Dari Control Panel, klik pada ikon "Font". Anda dapat menghapus font yang tidak digunakan di sini.
Ingat: Yang tidak perlu untuk dihapus: Verdana, Arial, Times, Trebuchet, Courier, serif, sans-serif, Georgia, dll... tergantung juga dengan font yang berhubungan dengan bisnis Anda.
7. Bersihkan System dari Virus, Spyware dan Malware
